For many years he has successfully led clients through the difficult legal problems by listening to their problems, developing a plan to help them and executing that plan by using his experience and knowledge. The goal is always to obtain the best possible result for that clients unique situation. It sounds simple but in family law it is complicated by the harsh realities of fear, emotion, financial stress and the best interests of innocent children that are present in most cases. The right outcome requires having a lawyer that listens, cares about the client and has the specific skills, experience and relationships to get the job done.
Mr. Tafelski is a graduate of Michigan State University and the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University. He is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association and the Advocates (Polish Bar Association). In addition, he is a past member of the Oakland County Bar Association Inns of Court which promoted professionalism and congeniality between Judges and lawyers. He has strong working relationships with Judges and lawyers throughout metropolitan Detroit. In 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2017 he was selected as a Super Lawyer by the New York Times. Only 5 percent of lawyers in Michigan achieve this designation. The process is peer driven and demonstrates a high level of respect within the profession. He has also been chosen as a Leading Lawyer in 2017, ASLA Top 100 Lawyers & Avvo Client Choice Winner in 2014.
Paul is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Michigan. The firm contains lawyers with diverse and complimentary backgrounds and are able to handle and matter that may arise in a family dispute including business valuation, tax problems and multi state properties.
Paul is married with one child who is an avid hockey player. In his spare time, he enjoys attending Tigers, Lions and Red Wings games.
